THE CHALLENGE: HIGH-PERFORMANCE SENSITIVITY FOR DEMANDING APPLICATIONS
The intense temperatures and crushing pressures found in pilot plants, vessels and reactors are devastating to precision
monitoring equipment. Immersion probes must withstand extreme heat and the rigors of fast-moving liquids and gases.

THE INNOVATION:
• Innovative design incorporates a back-reflecting aluminum mirror for high light return at UV wavelengths.
• The aluminum layer is back-coated on a silica disk with protective MgF2 overcoat.
• The mirror is sealed into the bottom of the probe.
• Both mirror and collimating lens are held in the steel housing with Kalrez® O-rings.

Built specifically for use in an industrial process environment, this probe is rugged enough to operate at temperatures ranging from -30ºC to 260ºC, and at pressures up to 3000 psi. Available in both UV and NIR versions to meet specific application needs.
• Kalrez® O-ring seals protect interior components from the working environment.
• Optical fiber is 400-micron core-fused silica.
• Fiber is enclosed in PVC-coated stainless steel armor.
• If necessary, the armor can be sealed with Teflon® for high-temperature operation.
• 4-inch extension tube allows direct immersion into process stream.
